Hidden Fees for State Tax E-file

Hidden fees hit you at the end. And additional $40 fee for deducting the fee from your return. Just beware of that.

GOOD ONE BIG PROBLEM AREA

Normally Turbo Tax is excellent. The handling of a 1031 tax deferred exchange is BAD. You need clear instructions or build in automatic handling. I would not have been able to do the return if I had not read the user comments. Specifically that you do not report the sale but go directly to the exchange. I suspect you do not put a lot of time and effort into this area because it is most likely a rare occurence for TT users.
