Need AGI to file electronic. Could not find last year tax return. Tried to go through Intuit, but no luck. Tried for 3 hours and you needed crazy info. Tried the government but no luck. Miss due date. Need a better and faster way to get last year AGI so that I could file on time. Been using Turbo Tax since 1990. I will look for a better way!.

The tech support is very good!

I had a problem with my state tax return. I paid estimated tax and applied portion of my 2020 refund to 2021 tax. But there is no way for me to state that. So, it turned out that I owe the state money. That is wrong, because the amount of money I gave to the state of Maryland is more than the amount of my 2021 state tax. This afternoon, I had chance to talk to one of your tech support experts, I did not remember his name. He was very patient to listen and figure out what is my problem. He guided me through several categories of payment and credit, and finally found where I can state my estimated tax payment. Then got where I can state how much I applied to 2021 tax from my 2020 refund. My problem was resolved. He spent more than one hour for that. He was so patient. I appreciate his effort, willingness to help, knowledge, and skill. I feel so lucky to have this expert to help me.

I didn't realize I had to keep notes....it just didn't flow like it use to and with the new stuff, I got lost mostly with nothing to guide you. I had to do a lot of back stepping. I guess I'm just stupid....but I got it done.

Disappointed

I initially ended up completing my taxes manually because of the time lost trying to understand the software and deal with the glitches. For example, I wasn't able to see the bottom of some pages because instead of using the scroll button I later realized I had to use the tab button. The social security statement is written on the "SSA-1099" or "1099," it is not a "1099-MISC" form. It wasn't listed under wages nor was I ever prompted to answer questions regarding it. Later, I was able to find the Social Security Benefit Statement by doing a search and added the information required. When I tried to save the tax files that were not e-filed the info wasn't clear and/or didn't work. I had to do a search for instructions on the topic. The option to save my files should have been much clearer and on the same page as the print option.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

Suggested Improvement

I have used TurboTax every year, and the TurboTax support people have always been great in clearing up my sticking points. One suggested change has to do with the answer format needed for some questions. It's often missing so I end up, for example, guessing as to whether a number should be spelled out (five) or annotated as a number (5).
