Never again!

I have used Turbo Tax for years. This year, I was unable to file without selecting Audit Defense. Even after selecting that option, I couldn't move forward. After calling Intuit customer service, I was advised that there were issues with the Turbo Tax handoff and had to purchase the Audit Defense directly from their site. Still, there was no way around it in the Turbo Tax software. Lots of discussion about this issue online, so it is obviously a software issue. Unfortunately, it's a software issue that could have serious financial implications for people. This is a software that should work.

It walks you through everything you need to file, can stop anytime to do something else and resume when ready. Been using TurboTax for years. Helps you get it done right,

Turbo Tax did what it's supposed to do

Turbo tax is easy to use and functional. However, it'd be good to see a worksheet that shows how the Tax in Line 16 is being calculated, i.e. how much is on wages, how much is on investments, etc. Also effective tax rate does not make sense...it's supposed to be an easy calc but can't replicate it.

We were unable to use the E-File option

TurboTax worked fine for entering our information and generating our tax forms. However we were unable to use the E-File feature which will delay our tax return from both the Federal and State. TurboTax required us to pay by Credit Card $25 to E-File our State return first ... and then click the Transmit button only to watch it fail multiple times with an error message. We were given an option to Re-Try or Mail our taxes. We re-tried multiple times and it failed each time. We are now choosing to mail our taxes which will delay our refunds from both the federal and state ... and I have to watch my credit card statement to make sure we were not charged $25 for e-filing which we were unable to use!!! Very dissatisfied with TurboTax!!!

Once again, TurboTax was excellent. I completed a relatively simple return in five hours, with time out for a snack and finding needed information. TurboTax found deductions I had not thought of, thus lowering my tax amount.
