This Year's App Was Buggy and Poorly Coded

Previous versions of TurboTax flowed nicely from one portion to another. This version took you to the top of an area instead of going to the next portion of an area. Also, when I hovered over a list of states and used the scroll wheel, the page behind the list moved instead of the list.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

I've used Turbo Tax for decades. I can't imagine using any other product. My children all use it too.

Many places where data previously entered was not carried forward to the topic.
The usual upsell content.
The usual additional fees for e-filing state return (not explicitly explained on packaging).

Lacks compatibility with accessibility settings.

My son had to come by and undo all of the accessibility settings i had configured over time because Turbotax software would not compensate for my font size settings. Specifically - Turbo Tax opened popup windows that were sized outside of screen resolution limits in the card payment entry forms. Even with the scroll wheel I could not scroll down to bring the "CONTINUE" button on screen so it could be clicked, and I could not drag the window title bar high enough to bring the buttons into view making them accessible to click - everything remained hidden from view below the bottom of the screen. My son figured it out as I was losing my mind trying to figure out why entering my info into the multiple text boxes left me with no option to advance to the next screen and before my son got involved i had re-entered my info half a dozen times with no success - outside of windows programmers who would think to recognize and correct off screen issues when turbo tax software fails to remain within screen resolution constraints!?! So now that my computer has been modified back to its original format for the sake of Turbotax software I can't read the micro fine print on my desktop and elsewhere ... so I'm expected to make adjustments to screen resolution and font sizes for Turbotax because Turbotax software fails to check off screen limits ((( when an application creates a window that exceeds screen limits you can't simply scroll to the parts at the bottom - they remain off screen at the furthest reach of the scroll. My son says this has been an issue with Turbotax software for many years - since he started using it and he just figured it out by trial and error - if you don't know there are buttons off screen you can't reach by scrolling, resizing a window, dragging or maximizing - you don't even know the buttons to advance to the next window are there. Is it rocket science to make popup windows that do not exceed legal screen limits within Microsoft Windows? or to at least do a simple system check at startup to see if font sizes are going to drive form layouts outside of legal screen limits so a client can at least be notified by the software that font sizes need to be reset to 100% and not beyond? This would eliminate a lot of headaches for many who are not computer literate enough to recognize that they even have a problem ... if you can't see a button in the first place, how is your customer to know that it is even there. How many old people have lost hours waiting for Turbotax to respond to their input drooling out of gaping mouths because they just don't know to check for these things!?! Come on Turbotax ... Fix this!
Also, why do I have to allow advertisements to submit this review? I had to accept 25 beacons and for ad whatevers just to tell you your software has bugs.

Been using TurboTax for many years. Efficient way to do taxes. Once required documents gathered, under 4 hours to complete.
