TurboTax is thorough way to do your own taxes

It would be helpful to be able to navigate the Step-by-Step better. I often need to go back to certain input screens. The navigation to specific screens needs to be more granular in the Show Topics List. It would be nice to be able to earmark certain screens to rapidly return to them, rather than stepping back through a lot of screens to find the one you want.

Good but still annoying to file.

Overall - the app continues to be good at leading through the process with appropriate snippets of help / descriptions.
Suggestions:
1. There should be option to file a comment at the exact spot - "I don't understand this because of x y and z, or this isn't clear"
2. It was not clear to us the difference in standard vs itemize deductions for 2021 - it would be nice to see the calcs for both next to each other. We had to switch the choice to itemized then go back and fourth to see what it would have done for that path. No clear explanation on differences in tax changes between 2020 and 2021.
3. Another year where you have to enter to your bank information and driver license for direct deposit when filling. So annoying - the app has all your private information in tax info but it won't carry forward this information from the previous year? The filing process should be a couple clicks to verify then done. No more then 20 seconds assuming the info was provided the previous year.
4. The cost to e-File for the state feels like it is taking advantage of the user.

Still bitter about 2020 tax return

When attempting to file in 2021 for TY2020, I encountered the "income does not match" message for no less than 6 times throughout TY21, even approaching the end of the extension period. Was never resolved and mailed a return in desperation near the end of the year, still no refund, it's April '22!
