First time I had issues with Turbo Tax

Used Turbo Tax for many years and this is the first time I recall that it messed up. It somehow entered child tax credits. Does not apply. It kept telling me to change items on a schedule (3, I think) that did not even apply. I had to go back and force it to go to the step by step to clear it.

I have used TurboTax for years, but this year I spent hours trying to work around errors in the software (i.e. I has to remove ALL of my charitable contributions to finally be error-free. TurboTax wouldn't even let me do an override to remove individual contributions!) My spouse reminded me more than once, "There's no crying in tax preparation." He is so wrong about that!

Problems importing and filing

I was able to import my 2020 data, but when I went through the step-by-step method, it refused to let me enter W2 data. I called support and was told I found a real bug, and they gave me a license key to use the online version. But the online version of TT Deluxe would not let me use Schedule C. So I went back to my CD version. I had to manually edit the W2 form, and then step-by-step worked.
When I tried to file the taxes, TT would not connect to your server to let me purchase the state eFile. I was given a screen that said to call and provide the noted info (incl serial number), then to enter the Confirmation number provided by the rep. I called, and after a 10 minute hold, the rep said, "huh" and put me on hold. After a few minutes on hold, the line disconnected. I guessed that Kaspersky Antivirus might have been interfering, so I paused it. Still no luck. So maybe the TT servers were busy. I kept at it and eventually connected and got the taxes filed.
