Turbo Tax Deluxe should have been all I needed but

First. I got the CD I requested months ago. When I put it in the CD drive it did not work. I tried it a couple of times then I went on- line and on- line worked. However, there must have been some kind of problem with the software or something as the process took more than twice as long as last year. It continuously kept going back over everything and most of it did not need any edit or anything the original input was correct. It also went over and over again other unusual things that I did not need but I finally got my Federal return electronically filed with a refund to my bank. IRS accepted the return. The state return for California was a whole other problem. Once again continuously going back over information I had supplied that was correct. When I tried to electronically file my state return they charged me $49 dollars and also charged me $89 for Premier. It seemed to continually ask me to upgrade and I always declined so I think Turbo Tax should refund me the $89. Also the state return kept saying to Electronically file the return but when I clicked to file it popped up "just one more thing" many times and I was not able to file the state return and do not know how to get it done.

Fed up with this trash

I've used TurboTax for more than 10 years but will likely never use it again. When I finally decided to submit my taxes this year, I was hindered by the software wanting to install an update but continually failing to do so. I tried a manual update but it still failed. Even cancelling the update didn't help because it wouldn't send my taxes without the update installed. I had to uninstall and reinstall the software and update again in order to get my taxes submitted. Next year I'll be using another tax prep software and won't look back to TurboTax again.

Problem with downloading State software

We have used TurboTax since the 1990's. Very disappointed with 2021 TurboTax software package based on problem with downloading State software. Significant amount of time wasted trying to correct it.

With 2 exceptions, Turbo Tax is excellent.
The area of Medical insurance is confusing, asking for forms I don't received.
State filing needs addition payment, even though my State of Ohio will allow me to electronically file FREE. I paid for the state software. Why do I need to pay extra?
