TurboTax saved my bacon year after year!!!!!!!

TurboTax takes the mystery out of the maze of tax rules. Its use of questions to help guide you through the tangle mess takes the anxiety out tax season.

Overall I enjoy working with Turbo Tax. It is laid out simply and walks you through everything. Some suggestions for improvement tho - printing: I e-file federal and 2 states. When I go to print a copy of the returns for my files, the default for Turbo Tax is to print as if I were mailing in the returns. I do not need a copy of the federal return for each state. It would be nice if there was an option to print one copy of each return only. Also if some of the worksheets could be condensed it would help save paper (and the planet) if I needed to print them.

Some common circumstances require deep dives

Issues for married filers (really common) require non-intuitive answers within TurboTax to achieve the correct answer on the actual tax form. In addition, why do I have to input drivers license number, bank account info, Intuit sign in, and credit card information 4 separate times in order to file?? Shouldn't this be saved after the first time? And how about a single credit card transaction if desired by the customer?

required me to know more than I should about California tax differences from Fed tax code
Should have provided better guidance with state return. Payment method for state filing far too complex.
Did not provide prior year 1099 listing so I could just input new numbers.
Im disappointed with this software.

It's okay

Before you start, it would be helpful to be prepared. So, why not advise me that I am going to need my routing and account number and my driver's license numbers, issue dates and expiration dates. I received a note that my Federal taxes were filed, but I did not get one that my State taxes were filed even though I paid to file the State return. It also took forever to get the updates to this year's software.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years with no problem. This year, it will not accept our AGI number and don't know why. We are using the previous year's information, but it is still being rejected
