Overall I think filing with Turbo Tax is very easy. The only thing I don't like is having to pay for state filing. The state should make this service free.

I have used Turbo Tax to complete my taxes for several years. To be thorough I let the product walk me through to ensure I have not forgotten anything. In general I think the product is excellent. My only criticism relates to the reporting of income related to being a retired federal employee. As such an employee only part of my income is taxable ...but the way the product asks me questions after I enter the gross versus the taxable income that get very confusing as it seems to think this income is an annuity (which it is) but then starts asking me for example what method was used to compute what was taxable...etc. This computation is done by the office of personnel management and I really have no clue. It was very challenging to get the software to finally recognize and validate that the difference in the reporting amounts was to be considered. I think the software needs an update in this area.
