Product is made worse than that past years

2021 Tax Return software has a lot places that make the user uncomfortable. For instance, we are retired people and never entered any information about Child Credit claims, but the software kept asking us to correct some errors, which we have no idea at all. Some other places, such as the numbers we owe on the top of the screen (in red) is different from the calculation summary shown in the main screen. The third, the Total Deductions do not matches the summation from the numbers above. We don't want to list many other imperfects here. We are your customers for almost 20 years, but we feel so uncomfortable using the software this year than any past years.

Turbotax and Its Deductible work very well and are extremely helpful processing taxes and getting the most accurate return available.

Loading the Turbo Tax Program was very easy to do. I was especially pleased that my info from last year was automatically imported.

Surprise $40 fee to File Taxes

When filing my return, at the very end there was an extra $40 fee to file. Not the $25 state fee. I was angry and surprised.

TurboTax eases the Tax torture every year

There are some glitches in the code...
For example when entering foreign accounts, sometimes it deletes something that I had entered previously.
Also, when reporting 8949 forms, the printed version includes copies that I had previously entered but subsequently deleted or altered. I did not see it on the software but saw it on the printed return.

Problem with E-Filing State Return

Would not transmit my State Return due to an alleged problem with Box 14. However all information was taken directly from the W- 2 from Box 14. This is the first time I have had a problem like this in over 12 years of using Turbo Tax.

TurboTax Gets Better Every Year

The program lets you choose how in-depth you want to be with your own tax filing. Walking through the process, step-by-step, or just hitting the highlights is convenient to get to the bottom line: how much am I getting back? the only reason for not giving it a 5-star rating is the program missed a field on my 1099-DIV (taxes paid on foreign stocks) when it downloaded the data directly from the investment company.
