Complicated

As always Turbotax had all its capturing from last year's report, downloading charity information from Itsdeductible and the systematic progression through the process that I love. But there were some parts where explanations were not clear, and the problem from the same glitch as last year when trying to transfer Itsdeductible info onto my Mac required quite the journey into tech issues to get it to respond correctly. As it was all coming together I was presented with an "error" in "Schedule 8812" needing a response for something that didn't even relate to me. I responded with a 0 but it wasn't accepted until I did it a second time. I have been grateful for Turbotax for decades, but it was a disappointing journey this year.

Terrible for First Time Home Buyer

It took me three hours to file, since it kept flagging me for not filling out my previous house information, when I just bought my first home! I lived with my parents before, and shouldn't have to fill any of that out. It also kept asking me to fill out a Child Earned Tax Credit, and I already checked that I don't have any dependents. I filled out more than I have ever had to in previous years, since it kept flagging errors. Then, when I would go back to fix the errors, there were none on my part. This is absolutely horrible for a first time home buyer. There should be an option for first time home buyers, and they shouldn't have to deal with countless errors, and questions that don't have anything to do with their earnings or current residence.

I could not find information I need to fill in capital losses for an extended period time. It is annoying and not intuitive.

Turbo Tax Stumbled

I've been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years and this year I had issues. Some of the sequenced screens did not show up until I went "back" to various areas.

You wanted me to upgrade to Premier, but no explanation why was provided. The Brokers statements are very long and complicated, but if they were downloaded into your program why do I need to upgrade ?
