I love using Turbo Tax!

I love that Turbo Tax walks me through the text making things simple. I also love the time saved as last year's information was saved.

Turbotax is slow, painful

Turbotax is even slower this year. Hangs up while trying to enter taxes repeatedly. Prevents me from filling in Tax Block/Lot/Town information. Help features are not useful.

About the 5th year using Turbo Tax -- before i owned a house I did my taxes by myself.. Good to have all the checking.
Curious carry-over of the Form 1116, foreign income -- was not asked about it.

Turbo Tax sucks

Terrible. Did not give the opportunity to put in identity PIN leading to rejection. The summary information is also terrible. Does not explain the calculation results for going from total gross income to AGI, and the specific Federal and State deductions. Also, you rip people for the State filing.

SOME CONFUSION

ALTHOUGH MY DELUXE INCLUDED STATE RETURN, I HAD TO MAKE 2 PAYMENTS TO ACTUALLY FILE THE STATE RETURN.
NOT SURE I NEEDED TO PAY THE 45$ FEE.

TurboTax tried to silently send estimated payments

Our tax return is not complicated. When it was all over we owed $46. When I looked at the amount TurboTax wanted to send to the IRS, it was over $1400. And they wanted me to commit to paying that every quarter. I had a very difficult time finding where they decided that I needed to make estimated tax payments
Furthermore, there is no direct simple way to see what they are having the IRS direct debit from my bank account.
It was all OK until it was time to pay. Then it was not transparent.
