We have been using Turbo Tax for many years now. Always clear and direct. Never had a problem. Electronic filing has made it quick and simple.

Turbo tax takes to long to load and is not clear

With turbo tax you have to wait a lot. First when you open it and then as you enter information. Then they charge you way to much. I need two states they wanted 45 dollars for the second state. I didn't pay that for the first state and federal. Then they wanted to charge me 40 plus 25 dollars to file the state electronically. I got HR tax cut for 32 dollars and did my second state. It was faster with less delay's and simpler to use and no extra fee's. I did not check how much they charged for the second state though.

Cost of filing is ridiculous

As usual, an easy way to fill forms and prepare my taxes. DOWN SIDE: I had to pay for the software then YOUR cost for filing. RIDICULOUS!

Although I ended up submitting the Standard Deduction - I entered all my information for a regular submission to save all my information for future purposes - easy to use as always

I appreciate that TurboTax keeps up with tax law and codes as they develop. Also, importing previous year's information eliminates a lot of hassle.

Led me down some interesting trails without a way out! Would have been nice if the proper instructions could have been shown and a way to get to it.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
