Turbo Tax - always the best

Imports could use some improvements

After importing information from investment institutions, I still had to enter a significant amount of information manually. That information was on my 1099s, so it is puzzling as to why you did not import these details and put them in the correct places. It was difficult and confusing to sort out exactly where to enter this information in TurboTax to have it land in the proper places in my tax return. I spent two days sorting this. My time is money and it would have been cheaper for me to hire a professional.

Getting harder to use

unhappy about $25 to e-file state.
signing into intuit is an absolute nightmare. did not accept password. reset password multiple times and new password never accepted in the tax app.

TurboTax is best

Having used TurboTax for many years, I would not use another Tax prep program. It is thorough, accurate, easy to use, and I have confidence in it.

Not idiot proof

1: Download failure with no help from Turbo Tax. I had to go to third party forum for instructions how modify my PC security settings to extract software installer.
2: First State file is not free. Turbo Tax charged me $25. Don't be fooled
3: I opted out of $45 Audit Defense however Turbo Tax requested payment regardless of my previous selection.
4: Audit came up with Child tax and other child discussions when no Children are involved. This caused concern my taxes were not being filled accurately.
5:Appears Turbo Tax held hostage my e-filing for another $45 dollars to procure Audit software.
6: Turbo Tax made me log in twice before e-file process could complete.
Summary: I will not be using Turbo Tax anymore. Already found a real Tax preparer.
The worst customer to loose is the one you already have.

I usually love turboTax, but not this year

There were so many bugs that were never fixed. I updated daily to see if they were, but they never did get fixed. I read forums online and people were having the same issues I did. I had to file by mail this year because the program wouldn't let me e-file without "fixing the issue" that I couldn't fix. Very frustrating.
