Buying the state version was not easy

Buying the state update using the application was encounter with misguided information and wrong numbers. Was not able to contact a sales person using the instructions provided by the application.

Overall good, but always bad installers

Every year there is some kind of installation issue with your software. This year, it said, this it was taking longer than anticipated, and after about 30 minutes of it not showing any progress, I had to kill it and do it again. I redownloaded it and installed it again from the beginning. I selected the option to automatically install the updates, and it installed correctly this time (still pretty slow, it also required a reboot as part of the installation process) and I successfully registered it. Halfway through doing my taxes, it said it didn't have the correct mortgage interest form from the IRS so it could not do that part of my taxes. I checked the app for updates installed, and on the Detailed Update History tab, it said that it had run the "Program Updates" in the Detail column as well as the California update. I had to save and close, then re-open the app for it to check for updates, at which point it found it had to update, and then I had to register it again after installing the update. After that I was able to complete my taxes regarding the interest paid calculations. The moral of my story is, it takes me more time to install the software every year than it does to actually do my taxes, every year. I work in IT so I am pretty comfortable with a computer and installing apps, so I "doubt" that I am the problem, but who knows. :) I usually do my taxes in the last week too, so I would think that all of the bugs would be worked out with the app by this time in the season. Continues to not recognize correct email address

Sorry - you don't recognize my email domain. There is an international standard for domain names, it'll take your coders 5 seconds to Google that, and if they're good about 5 seconds to write the regular expression. Since you have got this wrong for 4 years running, it says a lot about the quality of staff and customer service you believe in.
If you can't follow a simple international standard, why should I believe you can follow complex tax law?
