Fits our space

The fruit, veggie, cheese drawers seem flimsy. It's a little noisier than our old GE. Otherwise, we generally like it.

We bought this refrigerator because it was counter depth and the space it needed to fit in wasn't quite big enough for a larger size. It fits in the spot nicely a leaves plenty of room on the sides and top for ventilation. We had a Fridgidaire side-by-side model and this unit doesn't quite have the space to fit the same amount of groceries. This could very well be due to the french door style though. The plastic storage drawers feel cheap and not very durable. My biggest issue is with the water dispenser because it drips after dispensing. The manufacturer obviously knows of this issue because it states in the manual that this is expected and to allow a few seconds before removing the glass to allow for this excess. I've never had this issue with any other fridge I've ever had or used and even after allowing the added seconds to catch any residual water it still builds up and drips minutes after use. Other than that, it does what it's suppose to do and is very well lit. The crisper also does a good job of keeping vegetables fresh. Average refrigerator at best that's probably suited for a one to two person household.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

However, we do hate to hear you aren't happy with the available storage space, have concerns with the material of the drawers and an issue with dripping from the dispenser. Regarding the issue you’ve had with water dripping from your dispenser, you are correct that it can be normal for the water to drip for a brief period, and it’s a good idea to hold the glass underneath for another 2 to 3 seconds. However, it shouldn’t continue to drip after the first few seconds. You may want to check if there’s air in the system that could be causing the drip – if you hold the dispenser down for at least 2 minutes, any air in the system should be removed. It's small capacity and the water filter does not put out clean water according to 2 water testers.

The filter cartridge should be replaced every six months or earlier if the flow of water to the dispenser or icemaker

Less interior space than my prior refrigerator

There are several things I dislike about this refrigerator-freezer combo:
1. BOTH the refrigerator & freezer can hold MUCH less than the previous one that fit in the same size space, which was a limitation on the options I had to select from in terms of replacement. The only feature the new one has is a water & ice dispenser (see below for issues with those) - how can the internal mechanics of those possibly cause that much less internal storage space in Both the refrigerator AND freezer?
2. Why is stainless steel so popular &/or ubiquitous when Every Single Touch leaves a mark on the surface??
3. The ice dispenser spews the ice in all directions, regardless of cubed or crushed. A GE technician will be making a house call to address those.
4. WHY do so many manufacturers think that Slightly darker gray text will be adequately visible on a Slightly lighter gray surface? The controls for the water/ice dispenser are like this. WHY do you assume that everyone has perfect vision, particularly in dim light? I guess I will need to get some glow-in-the-dark paint or marker or Something to make these controls visible for me & my family.
