Counter depth for smaller kitchens

We have a small, narrow kitchen, so this GE counter-depth refrigerator was a way to get a full sized fridge in a smaller space. The upper French doors means no bending to see what is on the bottom shelves, like our old refrigerator. The unit is clean and quiet. The ice and water on the door is a real convenience. Since this is a counter-depth refrigerator we did give up some space but that just forces us to keep the inside less cluttered. We would buy this refrigerator again.

I despise my new refrigerator. All areas are way too small. My previous product was about the same size externally but much bigger inside. I wish I had never bought it.....but it is too expensive to get rid of and take a $$$ loss. I can't afford that!

Avoid this lemon

We paid a lot extra to get a counter depth refrigerator. We have it in a condo we occasionally use. Recently we went there and it was hot and the food had spoiled. We unplugged it, cleaned it out and plugged it back in. It seemed to work, but died again a month later. We called for a service person to see it, and stated the compressor was dead. We have owned it for 2 years, so it is not covered by the warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Constant alarm

It is the only counter depth model with an icemaker. I like the adjustable shelf for tall items. I am experiencing what I now know is a common problem. The alarm goes off all the time. No way to reset it to stop the problem.
