Beautiful refrigerator

Searched for months for a GE counter depth refrigerator that would fit in my fifty three year old kitchen. Finally found one. It has the functionality we need. Took four months to

Love the refrigerator. Perfect placement and size of shelves and drawers for us. And, we even have extra space. Easy instillation. Fairly quiet motor. We would definitely recommend this model.

Short of Expectations

Due to the Covid-19 caused appliance shortages, we were forced to take this refrigerator model (smaller than what we wanted) and still had to wait 7 months for it to be manufactured. Thankfully our appliance dealer had a loaner we could use. The refrigerator has some issues. (1) The plastic drawers in both sections do not fit and move well. They are made of cheap plastic and we expect they will break sometime in the future. (2) The french doors are clunky. You have to push it all the way closed. If you give it a light push as you walk away, it will spring back open with a jolt. (3) The ice and water dispenser has functions printed in black on a gray background. You can't read them without the room being fully illuminated. There is a light above each function. How hard would it be to illuminate the word so it can be seen?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The handles stick out too far.

I have a constant drip from the water dispenser. I have a service call because my freezer looked like a snowstorm had occurred in it.

We like the easy access to the refrigerator. We had a side by side before and like the arrangement of the doors. It’s just easier to get stuff out.
