Perfect for our needs, reliable so far!

I own a townhouse with a very small kitchen, and the cabinet opening for the refrigerator is quite small. I wanted a counter-depth French door refrigerator that had both an ice and water dispenser in the door that would fit in the space I had without having to renovate. As far as I can tell, this is the only unit that met every one of those requirements. There are plenty of similar units, but they all have the ice maker in the freezer drawer with no dispenser.
This unit is attractive, functional and quiet. The interior is obviously small, but it’s laid out efficiently to maximize use of the limited space. The crispers work very well, and the bottom refrigerator drawer is perfect for canned or bottled drinks.
The ice maker design in particular is good. It can’t store a ton of ice, but it generally makes plenty for my partner and I. More importantly, I’ve had this unit for two years now and the ice make hasn’t missed a beat. My previous Samsung needed its ice maker defrosted at least once a month from the day it was new.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to have backlighting for the front control panel.

Nice unit

I wish the refrigerator was a smidge bigger but it worked for thr space I need it to. I like how the light inside is dim when you open it and then gets brighter. The freezer took me a bit to get used to as I had side by side unit until now. This was definitely an upgrade for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love our new refrigerator. We installed it ourselves and had no issues. It looks great with the other GE appliances we purchased, has adjustable shelves, and seems to fit everything nicely. My favorite part is the water and ice dispenser in the door. I wish the freezer drawer opened a bit farther, but the space is nice and it's not a big issue. It is not smudge resistant so that is something to consider if you have small children but the sturdy handles prevent us from touching the stainless too often.

Loud sounding noises

There are constant loud humming, clicking, whirring and knocking noises. The noises are even louder when the ice maker is making ice. This is not good and I would like to be contacted regarding the constant sounds. GYE18JYLFS

Disappointed.

Very disappointed in this refrigerator. The panel illumination is very dark and difficult to see. And the internal size is sooooo small. I wish I knew the internal dimensions before purchasing. I would have chosen a different make/ model
