Product is not square.
Shelves are slanted and also not butting up to each other squarely. Product was delivered with dent on right door and installer took picture and note on delivery ticket. No butter storage shelf on door like one in showroom.

Ice maker has never worked properly, Was never told about having to buy expensive filters that you can only get thru GE. To have some one come out at look at the ice maker is very expensive. They want you to by extended warranties. They know their products do not last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is ok, just do not like not having the front panel lite up so I know which is crushed or or cubed ice.

I downsized from a huge refrigerator because I am the only one left in my home. I love the fact that it doesn’t stick out in the room (counter depth). Although it takes some adjusting to, I can easily see and reach everything. The top of the fridge does not allow the small upper cupboards to open completely but that isn’t a big deal for what I store up there. It does not have an egg tray so I salvaged the one from my old fridge as I prefer not storing eggs in their carton. There is much less door storage but that turned out to be ok too.

Great features except ice storage in refrig. area

Cheap and poor quality. Ice capacity very small and recharge very slow.
The one that was delivered about a week ago hade dent in 2 doors and shelves were slanted toward the middle and could not be fixed to be square with the other shelf to the right or left. Solution eventually led to a complete new refrigerator after time was spent trying to fix all the problems.

I'm really impressed with the GYE18JYLFS GE fridge. It has ample storage with well-designed shelves and spacious compartments, fitting seamlessly into my kitchen with its counter-depth design. Size is great for a small space. Had it for a few months and it has been working good sp far. The water and crushed ice dispensing could be better.
