Best cabinet depth <20 SF refrigerator choice!

This GE fridge was one of the few that could fit into an older renovation's cabinet's opening. While 5SF less than the Whirlpool that died after 5 years (no comment...), the layout and ergonomics are much better. The filtered water valve and filtered water ice cubes are a plus.

Nice fridge

It came in my new rv. Its a great fridge with plenty of fridge storage. I love having the ice maker, however the bottom freezer does not provide a lot of freezer space.

Junk. The worst refrigerator ever designed

Absolute garbage. There are installed in RVs. After the first trip 2 shelves in the door and 1 shelf broke. The second trip 2 more shelves broke. There is no way to keep items on the sheves while traveling. The water dispenser takes a long time to fill a 8 oz cup and you have to stand there with the door open letting the cold air out.
The screw knob the is supposed to keep the freeze and doors closed, is too small and the doors open while traveling.
The crisper drawers are so small you can't fit a head if lettuce in them. The freeze is way too small.

Wish I had known how loud it is

I have only had my refrigerator for about a month — it fits the space (33 inch wide/counter depth), looks good, and keeps the food cold but I think it is loud (much more so than my old GE refrigerator) and it seems to “run” a lot more often than my old one so the sound is very noticeable to me. In comparison with my old GE refrigerator, this one does not seem to be as good/sturdy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that the refrigerator is noisier than you would prefer, and does not seem as sturdy as your previous GE model. Modern refrigerators save energy by running longer, but at a slower speed. Most of the energy used in a refrigerator is from starting the compressor.
These are factors that contribute to a refrigerator running too frequently or too long:
- The compressor will run longer after the initial installation or after a long power outage.
- The refrigerator will run more if the room has high humidity or high temperature.
- Doors may have been opened frequently or for an extended period of time.
- Warm food may have been placed in the fresh food or freezer compartment.
- Check the gasket for a proper seal. Make sure it is not damaged.
