Keeps freezing food

Quality seems lacking the freezer drawer is noisy while closing. Twice it has frozen food. Temperatures at highest top and bottom

THE REFRIGERATOR HAS A NICE DESING BUT THE PERFORMANCE IS BAD. THE FREEZER DEVELOPS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FROST AND LARGE LAYERS OF ICE.

The formation of ice crystals/frost, especially around the freezer door or drawer opening, might result from a package of food or a shelf preventing the freezer door or drawer from closing completely and sealing properly. Check to be sure there are no food packages or shelves preventing the door or drawer from sealing against the cabinet front. Good looks, bad fan

Very noisy due to bad fan that we had to replace after three years when the freezer ceased to work properly. Repairman says it is common with GE.

If you don't have an open concept living space then it's OK.
But for our home which IS open concept it's too noisy, very annoying.

Not horrible, but not good.

I thought the French door style would make accessing food easier. But both doors have to be open to access any of the drawers inside. The water dispenser inside the fridge is so slow, all the cold air is gone by the time I’ve filled a glass. My unit came delivered with a broken freezer door which ended up costing a fortune in electricity but at least that is getting fixed under warranty. But I think the worst part is, even though this unit is larger than my previous 15 year old fridge/freezer, there seems to be less space inside. I’m assuming that’s due to additional insulation.

Temp zones are erratic

I needed a smaller fridge and this was perfect. It’s great looking. Love that the water dispenser in so discreet and not on the outside. But vegetables have frozen and the freezer has had to be defrosted twice in the last month. Trying to figure out how to work with it because a new one is such a pain with supply chain issues. We’ll see what I end up doing with it.

It may be necessary to defrost the freezer compartment frequently if the freezer is used often and/or there is high humidity in the room. Also, if the freezer drawer is not sealed properly, frost or ice may begin to form in the freezer often. Check the gasket, and check that there are no packages in the freezer that may be preventing the door from closing and sealing properly. I have always bought Whirlpool or GE products. All the comments are great and I have never been disappointed. As long as you read the manual you cannot go wrong with a GE product.

Refrigerator/freezer is less than 6 months

The ice maker quit working 2 months ago. Called repair, takes a couple weeks to get someone here. Gentleman said it was fixed but still no ice. Called repair again and they want to put in a new ice maker but it's been on backorder, that was at least 3 weeks ago! Not happy!!!
