Although the product is smaller and narrower is size it fits perfect in the space. It's quiet and meets our needs.

Runs nonstop.

I purchased a GE refrigerator in October, along with a GE gas range. The refrigerator seems to run nonstop. I dread seeing my electric bill as I have heard it turn off very rarely. Even my old 20 year old fridge took a rest far more often than this one.
I purchase the GE brand because of the durability of products. The company has been around since before I was born and was always dependable. But it doesn't seem to be the case now. I also have issues with the range.

Quirky but good

The refrigerator has everything I wanted in this model. Inside water dispenser and icemaker in the freezer. I would have preferred no water dispenser but I could not find refrigerators that offer a water filter with just an icemaker. Then there are the weird noises it makes from time to time. Not sure what component or feature does that. But I find it funny as opposed to irritating. This is not a large capacity unit but even so I was surprised at how small the produce and freezer bins are. Probably because my old fridge had larger capacity. The lights in the fridge and freezer are adequate although the back of the fridge is not as well lit as the front. I like that this fridge has 2 shelves per width rather than one wide shelf. I can adjust for taller ontainers and not lose useful space. The only real issue I have is I cannot utilize the top of the fridge because the hinges are mounted on top of the housing. So anything set on the top has to be lifted above the and st down further back from the front. Plus the doors do not have housing at the top so the grooves collect dust and arent easily cleaned. This fridge does not have all the bells and whistles of other models and has a few quirks but it is perfect for me.

First refrigerator delivered had several issues. Freezing food in the fridge section, water build-up in freezer gasket, etc. Repaired one issue then said couldn't get necessary parts so just replaced it with another fridge. The second one didn't have the freezer gasket installed correctly, which caused water build-up and caused it to constantly run. That issue was fixed under warranty and, so far, it seems to be okay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
