works good,,, Has LOUD HUM

I bought this refrig last week as part of a package, everything works ok except it has a very loud HUM when running. With my "open" concept kitchen/living room, it is very annoying.... otherwise ok

good features except ice maker

We have now had the fridge for almost 6 months and the ice maker is still trying to catch up with our use. I am making ice manually to supplement the ice maker. Apparently no fix. We are on our third ice maker and it still not enough ice and their's only two of us?

Generally good, but trouble with water supply

I have had trouble with the water supply twice since purchasing 4 months ago. Service on the way, but annoying that it doesn't work correctly.

Leaks

This sis the second replacement unit I received and it still leaks water from the ice dispenser door and the water dispenser. I have never used either dispenser. The refrigerator also leaks from the refrigerator/freezer divider. After multiple service calls to GE and a replacement, GE said they cannot fix the issue and will no longer try and service. My 11 year old model was far better than this new one. GE quality has gone down.

GREAT QUALITY FOR THE PRICE

We have had our refrigerator for only two days and my wife and I are so pleased.
Installation was simple and we hooked up the water supply connection ourselves.
It is not the most deluxe model but has all of the features one could want without
a bunch of complicated buttons. Since our model was not the LED model we
simply exchanged the two hot incandescent bulbs in the refrigeration side with
LED bulbs of same voltage. Result was more light, much less wattage and no
heat generated when door is open. We find the operating noise to be very low
despite what a few other reviews have said. Also, ours came to stated temperature
within 8 hours. Not the 24 hours told to allow in the manual. We were very pleased
with that. A good indication of its efficiency.

Usable space too small

I was very disappointed that this replacement fridge with more cu ft
actually had less usable space inside refrigerator and shelves were not moveable to a space that would work better in my case. Had to buy a door shelf to accommodate most of items in my previous door and shelf for freezer side that really didn't help since no adjustable so it would help.
Also it shows finger prints more than any other stainless I have seen.

Good Price not so good refrigerator

I had a new GE refrigerator when I bought my house 4 1/2 years ago. First the water stop working and it was too much money to get it repaired. I went without the water dispenser for 2 years. I got home and I noticed that water was leaking from the refrigerator. I opened both doors and all my food was defrosted. The only reason I bought another GE appliance is because all my other appliances were GE. I deeply regret buying this refrigerator. It is so LOUD!!!! I can hear the refrigerator motor running from upstairs. I read that other customers have the same issue. I thought my refrigerator would be different. One other thing I don't like is the huge globe in the inside. I lowered my top shelf so it is a little better. I have to often wipe the stainless steel because it gets pretty dirty. If I could do it again I would buy a different brand. I hate hearing the loud motor. It is embrassing when people come over with this loud noise the motor makes. I wish I could sell this refrigerator! I will not purchase another GE product!

Great Purchase so Far

I have had this for several months now and am enjoying its features.The controls are simple to use, room is adequate for my needs, and it keeps everything, so far, at the proper temperature. Time will tell on its reliability, but it was brought in and set up, doors adjusted as well, by a nice couple of workers who were careful and conscientious. I just attached the water line and rolled it into place. The water tastes good and ice was being made in the first hour. So far, the ice maker has kept up with the demand in these last hot few months.
I would recommend this to a friend!
