ALL of our FOODS FRESH in ONE PLACE!

My wife and I have been married for 2 years now and love to cook! Usually, our fridge is stocked with leftovers and foods on the list for an upcoming recipe. My wife had a fridge when we got married and it was problematic and usually didn't have enough room. We purchased a mini fridge to have extra space to refrigerate but wished we had a fridge big enough and powerful enough to keep cool all of our foods. We now have a 3 month old and decided to make a investment on the fridge. We are thrilled we made a SMART choice! There is so much room that we no longer need to use the mini fridge and the cooling system is impeccable! If your a family how likes a lot of different foods in the house and want to keep them fresh BUY THIS GE FRIDGE!

So far ok! It’s a bit louder than I expected and the doors swing wide open but you really need to push them all the way in to close. Space is great. Didn’t pay attention thst it didn’t have a deli drawer which is a bummer.

Water filter failures

My brand new side-by-side is due for its second service call, all related to the filter system. Some genius decided that by embedding an RFID chip in their expensive filters, they could make more $, but in the process have made the water system wonky. The chip readers apparently fail frequently, as has been the case with mine. GE better get its act together.

This side-by-side refrigerator is smaller on the inside than my 20 year old Kenmore that I replaced, but bigger on the outside. The worst part is that the freezer doesn't work well. That the ice cream is soft was my first clue and soft with the freezer set at 0 degrees. How can ice cream be soft if it's been sitting in a 0 degree freezer I think it's that the door doesn't close well.

Large ice bin, even temps, and good lights

I was looking for a very specific feature on a refrigerator- a large capacity ice maker. Most of the brands these days have the ice maker in the door with a tiny compartment. I use a lot of ice each day and more on the weekends. This unit has kept up with my demand so far. Large, dense ice cubes and a large ice bin are perfect for me. The extra lighting is a bonus too. It only took about two hours to come to temp and maintains 0°F and 37°F respectively so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great deal and delivery

So far so good. Into the 2nd hour of cooling down after the install. It will take a bit getting used to because of the French Door fridge I had for the past 15 years. My wife already loves it not having to open 2 doors to get in the fridge plus she doesn't have to lean into the fridge, because of the bottom freezer door. 1 less gasket to worry about also.

Ice maker quit after a week. Have to wait a week for the repairman and the repair window is all day long. First time I’ve gotten a GE appliance…..not off to a good start.
