Disappointing

I received this refrigerator with my new home 2 weeks ago. The ice cube bucket started draining water 2 days ago. The freezer portion of the refrigerator/freezer does not work. The freezer has melted anything that was frozen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great performance!

I bought another GE refrigerator 20 years ago and had only one minor service call. I left it with the family who bought our house Dec, 2017 (in excellent condition) when we moved to our current address. Thus, I bought another GE.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Many problms over 18 months

We have had problems with this new GE refrigerator from cannot find filters or light replacements to water pump causing a horrible sound. We are going to replace this new unit with a non GE make hoping to get better than 18 months of service from it.

We purchased this refrigerator, but need to return it because water pressure is so slow and leaks water after every use. The ice dispenser is a mess; the ice cubes shot out so fast and half often fall on the floor. It’s been three weeks and replacement has not been delivered, but that might be a result of COVID-19

Unacceptable noise, poor quality

This fridge has been the worse purchasing decision I have ever made in am appliance. There is no excuse for the noise level. I wish I had my 20 year old fridge that I gave away to make space for this shinning example of poor quality. Since I am told this noise is normal for newly engineered refrigerators, my money is wasted and I am on the search for one that doesn't reduce my quality if life in turn for keeping food cold and being energy efficient. After buying several GE appliances over the years this experience has convince me to avoid them like COVID19.
