Overall it's a good side by side fridge. I wish the door alarm worked on the freezer door as well as the fridge door.

Great features, tons of space inside design

I got this today and I love it. It was easy to set up and I cannot wait for it to be cold enough to put my food in there.

Happy to find a white side by side fridge

It’s only 4 stars because we’re used to the 42” one that it replaced so of course it doesn’t have as much space but there’s only 2 of us so we really don’t need that big of a fridge . It’s working great though and the water and ice dispensers have no issues at all . We are very pleased with this product.

Works great. i like the temperature readout on the exterior freezer door. And the alarm when either freezer or refrigerator door is open for a prolonged time.

What's the problem

Water filter light (red) came on after 2 months of use. Tech. was called out to check. Said the new system uses a chip that progressively countdown over a period of time. I replaced the water filter as suggested. The filter light still showing red. So what's going on? The water filter should last at least 6 months before the light turn red. Pushing the filter status button still shows "0" after new filter was installed.

We want to help out with the filter light not resetting. We suggest trying a quick electronic reset, this can be done by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. You can also try to reinstall the filter, by removing it and reinstalling. If this doesn't work we suggest getting another technician out to check this. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link here (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).
