This fridge is an upgrade to the one we got with the house when we bought it. We estimated it was at least 12 years old, and when it died, I researched a new one; wanted a side-by-side with ice and water in the door.
Surprisingly there were only a few makes with the water/ice in the door.
After all reviews I read, I decided on this GE model & I am VERY pleased; it performs well and I would recommend to anyone who asks.
