Very Good Refrigerator

The new GE Refrigerator was delivered and installed yesterday at 2 PM. The new refrigerator (model # GSS25GYPHCFS side by side) has a digital control with temperature control set point. I watched the temperatures for the freezer and refrigerator through the day. After running one hour the temperatures were 65 F and 75 F respectively. By 9 PM the temperatures were 25 F and 39 F. So, I transferred the cold items form the ice box and small refrigerator to the new refrigerator. The next morning the temperatures were at the set points of 0 F (freezer) and 37 F. (refrigerator). The ice maker started dropping ice the evening before. I throwed away the ice bin per instructions from the night. After one day of operation the freezer and refrigerator have performed very well as advertised. My old refrigerator lasted 20 years, I hope it lasts that long.

IDEAL UPGRADE

First side-by-side — while it takes a mild adjustment for storage configuration, the unit is very quiet. Even the little whirring sounds are barely noticeable — sort of reassuring actually. As for electricity use, it' merely sips energy to run efficiently. The overall construction is quality in which G.E. can be proud.

I had a GE refrigerator/freezer for 24 years, so as it began to wane down, I knew I would replace it with another GE.
So pleased with the new one!!!!
