Terrific Refrigerator!

I replaced my old GE refrigerator with the exact same, upgraded, GE model. My old refrigerator was 18 years old, with no problems, so I knew I’d like the newer model. Looks fantastic and I love the recessed interior lighting. Great deal for the money!

Similar to older model

Only on day 2 but loading from the old model of same fridge, I noticed the difference. This has no cheese drawer, so I transferred the cheese drawer from my old one to this one. The door shelves are smaller so my big bottles had to move to the inner shelves. The freezer is similar but there is a small shelf above the ice maker, which can be handy. My old fridge had glass shelves in freezer, this one has wire shelves. I haven't decided about that yet, but it seems like the wire would be better for air moving.

Very noisy fridge

It works OK. My biggest problem is it makes noise almost continuously. It even had in the manual explaining what all the noises are. It is very annoying if the house is quiet. that is all you can hear is all the noise that it makes. Most of it isn't really loud, but it is almost continuous. I have never heard a fridge this much.

Hi there- We apologize that this refrigerator is louder than you expected. Modern refrigerators have new features and are more energy efficient than older ones. The foam insulation used in new models has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however it is not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. Hard surfaces such as ceramic tile, vinyl or hard wood floors, walls and kitchen cabinets may make these operating sounds more noticeable. door space is awesome

space for putting groceries is very nice. The ice maker area dosnt take up to much space and after pluging it in it already started droping ice in 2 hours

Good deal for the price!

I’ve had the fridge for almost a month and so far my only complaint is that it’s very sensitive to magnets. I went to put a dry erase board on it and the magnets that held on my last fridge wouldn’t hold on this one so the board fell and scratched the fridge. Other than that there hasn’t been any issues.

We're loving the Ice Maker with different options to choose from. What's great is when the refrigerator is left open, it sounds an alarm to let you know to close it.
