Your basic side by side refrigerator.

It is a good size refrigerator. 25.2 CU FT.
The ice maker does not have an auto shut off. Nor can you turn it off by the digital panel on the freezer door. You have to take out the shelf and ice bin to shut it off manually. Big pain. Water fill for ice maker makes load flutter noise when filling.
Since it's installation, our water pipe bangs in the kitchen when we turn the water off at kitchen sink. Did not do this before the installation. Looks like I will have to call for service.
The refrigerator door is heavy because of storage configuration of the door. The door will bang open if you do not keep your hand on the door when you open it.
I keep reading on how to set the freezer and refrigeration temps using the digital panel on the freezer door.I follow the directions and nothing happens.
I am hoping that it will be a good refrigerator

VERY HAPPY NEW/OLD CUSTOMERS!!

We had a side-by-side years ago (1990ish) and I was not a fan because it was so small/narrow; however, it wouldn't die! We ended up giving it to an Amish family for storage even though it still worked perfectly. The only issue was the ice maker had quit. So, fast forward to years later- we have gone through several of the the newest, greatest and most beautiful, french door fridges that lasted about 5 years or less. We have had nothing but trouble with them. I finally told my husband that it was time to go back to the ole' faithful, so here we are, happy as clams, with a new larger model side-by-side. I love love love the updates with the wider doors and interior space. I couldn't have been happier with the price (1/3 of what I paid for my last big & beautiful French door glorious piece of junk) and the sleek new look.
I won't be fooled again with all the glitter and glam of the fancy gadgets. They only cause trouble and we end up losing in the end.

So far I am very pleased with the performance of my GE refrigerator. It runs quietly and has sufficient room internally for my needs. My last GE refrigerator lasted 24 years and that is why I chose to purchase another GE appliance. My only disappointment is it does show more finger prints and water drops than my first one but that is to be expected since the new one is stainless and my former one was a white texture-type of finish.
