This fridge is relatively spacious inside, but under utilized for organized storage. I made a wooden shelf to give additional flat storage space on the refer side. The slide out drawers are weak and flimzee . The given door storage racks are bulky and poorly thought out for convenient storage . I am disappointed with the overall design also in the freezer portion.. Our previous Kitchen Aid refer had much better drawer, shelving, and door storage choices to organize.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love most of it

I love the increased space in the fridge over my Kenmore fridge of the same outside measurments, I like the height of the door ice maker making for easier filling of tall glasses. I do not like the ice maker not being in the door. I could just reach into my kenmore ice storage if I jut wanted a quick one or 2 cubes. The drawer in the main area of the freezer is a pain

Glad I went with the Side-by Side. It helps with finding things faster. Space in the door is not as big as am used too, but things will stay colder on the shelf.

I went from a french door single freezer drawer to this side by side. Here's my opinion. The refrigerator section is great. I have lots of room for everything and two drawers for produce or whatever I choose to put in them. No complaints for the fridge side. The freezer is another story as far as my opinion. There are little shelves that are practically worthless and the design of some of the other shelve and baskets leave a bit to be desired. I can't get nearly as much in the freezer as my french door freezer. Secondly, the ice maker needs a better sensor for when the ice storage is full. It fills to the point where you can't take it out without running ice through the dispenser a few times to clear the top of the storage in order to remove it. I've also had ice fall out of the storage during normal ice cycling from the ice maker. It does a great job of cooling and freezing and having the ability to set the temps for both sides is a plus.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
