Great fridge and reliable machine but…..

I waited awhile to write a review (2 years). This is my thoughts on the fridge. In general it's a fine machine. Looks great and has worked flawlessy with the exception of occasional ice bucket backups where large chunks of ice get stuck together and will not break down. This requires you to reach in with your hand and break down the ice. It happens once in s while so it's not a huge problem.
The fridge side is great, roomy and has a lot of space. The plastic containers on the door are made well and last long unlike other brands I have had where the containers were cheap plastic and cracked or broke completely. The filter is easy to get to and can be replaced easily. Water and ice work great.
My only issue with the fridge is that it lacks freezer space for us. We are a small family and we tend to store a lot of freezer stuff. We just never have enough space. It’s too small and for that reason we are going to replace it with a model that has more freezer space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another GE fridge and so far so good

So far (1 month) our new refrigerator works like a charm! We bought a model as close as possible to our previous GE refrigerator, which lasted 17 years! We like the changes to the control panel. We like the new option to have it beep if you leave the door ajar. We also like the new lighting which makes it easier to see what's where. There are a few changes to the shelving, most of which are fine, though we would prefer if they would have kept the snack drawer and kept the lowest refrigerator shelves wide like our old GE (fits more food). We kept our old snack drawer and inserted it onto a shelf :)
