Our last Refrigerator was better.

This unit is noisy....When it runs there is a high pitched sound like an ultrasonic alarm system. In the day time not as noticeable as the evening when things quiet down.
Definitely noticeable when everyone is in bed. I even had a tech come out to check it out and he said it needed cleaning so he did that. It seemed a little quieter for a day but resumed the noise later. I've cleaned it multiple times with no difference in sound......
Ice maker freezes up once a month and you have to pull the ice bucket cover off and break up the ice build up....
The shelf locations are not handy....The lunch meat drawer, which should be near the top is at the bottom making it necessary to bend almost to the floor to access...
Doors are too thick! Our installation limits the right side door opening to 90° which makes it very difficult to get into the drawers and of course requires pulling the whole fridge out of it's recessed cabinet to remove the drawers and shelves for cleaning....
Lastly, the indicator LED lights are ridiculously bright on this model. Found out later some models have green LEDs which are easier on the eyes, especially at night. I actually painted the lights with red fingernail polish to cut the glare including the nightlight....
Unless I win the lottery I'm stuck with the unit until my extended warranty expires......
Will definitely research more thoroughly the next one I buy!!

The fridge has a good amount of freezer and fridge space. The shelves feels secure. We wanted something larger, but we're limited on space. This however, is actually large enough and was easy to organize and stick

Price and reliability of GE product, also vents in freezer are in the bottom of the freezer so it can’t be blocked
