Sleek and roomier inside

So far loving it! The lighting is really great they have additional lighting half way down the fridge near the outside - helps seeing the lower shelves! Cleaner lines on the inside than my older one (same type). Only thing could have been better - keeping the deli drawer. But I bought a bin for cheese and lunch meats. But would have been nice to still have a deli drawer.

Nice unit, mostly quiet until the top fan comes on,it's a little noisy but don't hear it often. I would have liked the freezer to have been a bit larger and the fridge a little smaller. I think the freezer needs another shelf so going to look for one. I was hoping to see my electric bill go down a bit but it didn't. 3weeks old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

DO NOT BUY! RFID reader fails costing you hundreds

GE puts RFID readers in their fridge to stop people from using counterfeit water filters.
And when this RFID reader fails, it stops you from using genuine GE water filters.
This means you can't use YOUR fridge which you paid for to dispense WATER or ICE unless you pay them hundreds of dollars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Save yourself the headache, buy something else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our fridge went out just before Memorial Day, so of course we had to rush to buy a new fridge and almost everything was out of stock because of a Memorial Day appliance sale. We bought this fridge because it was the best price that still included features, and one that fit the dimensions we needed.
We have regretted the decision ever since. It was professionally installed, and is perfect level (we checked) but the door doesn’t stay open. So you have to open it, start grabbing while it’s closing, then bump it back open so get a few more seconds, bump it back open, over and over. One side is so small that I can’t get both shoulders in to dig around and find what I need, and keep bumping the door back open at the same time.
The freezer is so small, this will not work for any household that is more than 1-2 people. Each shelf on the freezer door can fit one pint of ice cream. That’s it. Or one uncrustable.
The shelves in the fridge side are not space efficient at all. You end up with one shelf for milk and tall top shelf liquids, one shelf for yogurts or something, and then a HUGE gap for the third shelf. You almost have to purchase extra shelves or find some sort or organizing situation to put on the third shelf. Otherwise a ton of space is wasted. There is no cheese or deli drawer, the egg container barely fits one carton of eggs. You can fit two if you lay them on their sides. There’s two drawers for veggies but one will probably go towards stuff that doesn’t fit where it normally is supposed to go. Good luck fitting all of your condiments in the door shelves because 60% of your space goes towards bulky shelf design and thick plastic sides.
I hate it. Also, less than a year later it’s making a moaning noise and isn’t holding temperature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fits nicely

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I love my new side by side. The two things I don't care for is 1) There is no snack or deli drawer. In the GE profile side by side that this replaced this option was used for cheese and lunchmeat and we loved it. 2) The door bin "A" shows being installed high above the ice maker in the instructions #225D3791P163; however, the slides to attach it are located at the bottom of the top section of the freezer compartment. When you install it there it hits against the icemaker and the door won't close.

Love this fridge

I shopped around a lot because I had limited space but like to cook and bake. The freezer in this is very narrow but quite a bit fits if you stack, and the fridge is awesome! Love that I can get a water and ice dispenser in this size.
I would recommend this to a friend!
