Model Uncertainty

Fit and finish is only average. Gaps around the control display and water/ice dispenser. Ordered through big box store and was delivered a similar but different model number expected a GPWW and got a GPFCWW. The store and it's GE contact could not describe the differences between the models. No outward appearance differences, so accepted the 2nd unit. I guess that's common? Noisy icemaker. Freezer door shelves narrower than expected. Keeps temperature well. Fits within my space well.

We'd like to share information about the extra letters in the model number. When searching or viewing an appliance model on our website, the marketing model number is used IE. However, when our appliances are manufactured on the assembly line, a rating plate with the model and serial number is applied to the appliance. These model numbers will have extra letters or numbers to represent the line.
The freezer shelves are designed, so that the baskets fit optimally, allowing deeper storage space. For the gaps around the dispenser and control panel. We suggest contacting your retailer for assistance.

Water dispenser filter red light issue

The red filter light goes off when I try to get water from the door. The filter came with the fridge and is only 5 days old. Water will not dispense from the door when the red filter light is on. Which means the water dispenser is currently useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’d like to help you with the operation of your refrigerator’s water dispenser. First, ensure the water filter is properly installed by lining up the arrow on the filter with the arrow on the cartridge holder. Gently push the top of the new filter into the holder, then slowly turn it to the right until it stops. After installation, press and hold the reset button on the dispenser for 3 seconds to complete the process.

Working great so far

I’ve only had this refrigerator for 2 days, but so far it’s working great. I’d like larger storage compartments in the freezer door and another shelf. The freezer is smaller than my previous refrigerator but hopefully I’ll get used to it.

We've had the fridge for a while now and it works well. We bought this based on online recommendations. Additionally we needed a fridge that was a bit narrower than the standard fridge and this fills the bill. It was a bit on the higher than most and I had to trim the bottom of the cabinet that was mounted above it.

I like the adjustable shelving a lot. I wish that I was able to get a larger one for more freezer room, but it wouldn't fit in my condo.
