We needed a white fridge about 33 inches wide to go with our kitchen. Preferred side by side over French doors b/c with the French doors you have to bend down to use freezer and everything ends up on top of each other rather than at mostly eye lever and shelves for the side by side. Considered the similar Whirlpool but the GE is much better. We had to have a carpenter cut about 1/4 inc off the bottom of the cabinet above to make it fit. The fridge has lots of space in the fridge and freezer sides. Many adjustable shelves options in fridge. Great lighting, quiet, and the icemaker/water on door works fine.

Get another refrigerator

The refrigerator is very noisy. The shelves in the door are shallow. The freezer is very narrow.

Cool features, needs a cold cut tray

Seems to work well. Biggest drawback is the lack of a meat tray that we used have in our previous fridge. Makes a plentiful amount of ice. Temperature controls are great for running the refrigerator as efficiently as possible

Good appliance- incomplete manual

The fridge keeps things cold like it needs to. The freezer keeps everything frozen. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the manual is not the most clear on how to use the ice maker and tray in the freezer
