I bought this July 7th and on August 30th both the fridge and freezer quit working. Not confident that the repairs will last when such a new appliance goes bad. Love the looks though.
I bought this to replace an old, noisy, not energy-star rated refrigerator, expecting it to be much quieter than the old one. Instead it runs 1/3 to 1/2 of the time and has an annoying high-pitched hum. The operating instructions say this is all normal due to a new high-efficiency compressor. So while my electric bill did go down I never would have bought it had I known it would be noisier than the last one.
GOOD: I like all the refrigerator door bins. They make it possible for virtually all items to be easily accessible without setting food out in order to reach what's behind it. It's nice that the partitions in the full width fridge drawer is adjustable or even removable. The "front and center" controls and temperature display are perfectly located. BAD: I think the design of the freezer drawers wastes an incredible amount of space. Also, dedicating 20% - 25% of that diminished freezer space to the ice produced by the automatic ice maker is excessive. I have had to partition that bin myself to reduce the amount of ice to what only two people use, thus freeing up more space for frozen food. The switch to turn off the automatic ice maker is VERY inconveniently located all the way in the back of the freezer drawer on the ice maker. If you can "see" the switch, you can't reach it; if you have your arm extended all the way back to reach the switch, you can't get your head in there to see what you're doing! Poor design all around for the freezer.
I love this refrigerator! It's spacious, and perfect for a small family. The lighting is beautiful and bright. Drawers slide easily, and freezer holds more than you would think from the picture. The only thing I dislike is the center bar that acts as a magnet for the other door to latch onto, has a tendency to collect condensation when it is hot/humid outside, even with the A/C turned up high. I end up with water dripping when I open the doors on really hot days. Annoying but not a deal breaker by any means.
Purchased our gorgeous slate French door unit in April 2015 but due to changes in remodel timeline, just installed in midSeptember - she's well worth the wait! We were limited to 30" width but love, love, love this fridge! The 2 rows of snack, fruit, veggie trays make it easy to locate smaller items, there are a ton of shelves in the doors, and we've moved the shelves to have a special pizza shelf! Extremely quiet and no problems with too-cold that other reviewers have reported.
