It's ok

The freezer itself is much to small to serve a family. The ice maker takes up much of the space. The fridge shelves make no sense. None are high enough for tall bottles or gallons and if you remove one shelf to allow for gallon bottles, the other shelves would only be tall enough for 12 ounces cans. It's just not practical. Ice maker makes loud noise. Sounds like someone knocking at the door. Cools and freezes well, however.

We are happy to help with your new refrigerator. This model features two adjustable fresh food shelves and six adjustable door bins, including gallon door storage, to help maximize storage space. In addition to the adjustable shelving, there are also several organization tips you can use to reduce clutter and make the most of the available space. Please refer to the articles here for more details: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/lifestyles/organize-your-fridge-slideshow.htm https://www.geappliances.com/ge/refrigerators/refrigerator-capacity-organization.htm The icemaker will make a loud sound when cubes are dropped into the ice storage bucket. This is normal operation. You may also hear a buzzing, humming, vibrating, or faint rattling sounds. For more information on sounds the icemaker and refrigerator can make, see here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice storage. Looks very nice. Great appliance for the money and a good fit in tight space. Energy saving. Bottom drawer freezer is a good configuration.
Purchased brand new in 2022. Ice maker stopped working after 1 year. Repairman who serviced the unit told me this refrigerator has a poor design that causes the water to freeze before dripping into the ice maker. He showed me what he was talking about and warned me it will happen again. Sure enough it froze in the exact place he said it would two days after the service. Just around the two-year mark, ice started forming on the rear wall of the refrigerator. The compressor is now very loud. I am replacing this three-year-old unit with another brand on Thursday.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve had service people out probably 6-8 times since the warranty ran out and the refrigerator was only 13 months old when the ice maker froze up, the refrigerator is at 65 degrees and the freezer has frost in it. These issues have happened at least twice each from 12-14 months old and it still doesn’t work. I’ve lost 2 sets of food and condiments because of this.

Bought this fridge/icemaker in Jan 2023 and the ice maker has been an issue for last 18 months. had the icemaker replaced and still does not work. Since I'm a few months out of warranty as I'm not at this residence all the time, I got no where with GE.
