LOVE MY REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER

LOVE THE DOUBLE DOORS AND EASY ACCESS TO FREEZER ON THE BOTTOM. ANOTHER GREAT FEATURE IS THE ABILITY TO SEE WHAT IS INSIDE YOUR FRUIT AND VEGGIE BINS.
REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER FOR TIGHT SPACES IS GREAT FOR SMALL SPACES.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loud, running constantly but a great size

I want to like the refrigerator but it runs frequently and loudly. The size was right to replace an old fridge. I like the space inside and the flexibility of the door shelving. The noise has made me hate it though and I cannot recommend it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your new GE Appliances french-door refrigerator. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the refrigerator due to how noisy it is, and how frequently is runs. For refrigerators and freezers to maintain the proper temperature, the compressor will run much of the time. Refrigerators and freezers have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running. Modern refrigerators save energy by running longer, but at a slower speed. Most of the energy used in a refrigerator is from starting the compressor.

Factors that contribute to a refrigerator running too frequently or too long:

- The compressor will run longer after the initial installation or after a long power outage.
- The refrigerator will run more if the room has high humidity or high temperature.
- Doors may have been opened frequently or for an extended period of time.
- Warm food may have been placed in the fresh food or freezer compartment.
- Check the gasket for a proper seal. Make sure it is not damaged.

Thank you for your review. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you should have any questions or concerns. Have a great weekend! -Devin@GEAppliances

New frig

We like it a lot and love having the 2 half doors. The freezer capacity is a bit smaller than our old frig (but the frig is the same overall size).
the overall construction is not as solid as our old frig.

It’s only been a week but meets our expectations. Replaced a 25 year old GE refrigerator that was great. We are sticking with GE 👍👍

Looks great!

Love the size for our kitchen. The bottom freezer is very small, so we tend to shop like Europeans. Only buy what we need. It makes some rattling noise every now and then, otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I am very happy with this refrigerator. I love the French doors and bottom freezer. I love the flat light bulb that doesn't get in the way. And the ice maker!

Ice Maker Button broken and condensation issues.
on December 15, 2023

Purchased this side by side refrigerator in August 2023. It has a fair amount of condensation no matter what temperature I set the refrigerator to. Default is 36 to 37 degrees and still it makes too much condensation in the top back inside portion of the refrigerator. The on/off button on the bottom freezer just broke. I noticed 2 plastic pieces in the ice tray and found out this was the on/off switch for the ice maker. The ice maker makes too much ice even when it hits the full lever in the freezer causing ice to run off in the back of the bottom freezer. Wow not impressed with this expensive GE refrigerator with bottom freezer.
