Nice to find a small French door fridge

GOOD: I like all the refrigerator door bins. They make it possible for virtually all items to be easily accessible without setting food out in order to reach what's behind it. It's nice that the partitions in the full width fridge drawer is adjustable or even removable. The "front and center" controls and temperature display are perfectly located.
BAD: I think the design of the freezer drawers wastes an incredible amount of space. Also, dedicating 20% - 25% of that diminished freezer space to the ice produced by the automatic ice maker is excessive. I have had to partition that bin myself to reduce the amount of ice to what only two people use, thus freeing up more space for frozen food. The switch to turn off the automatic ice maker is VERY inconveniently located all the way in the back of the freezer drawer on the ice maker. If you can "see" the switch, you can't reach it; if you have your arm extended all the way back to reach the switch, you can't get your head in there to see what you're doing! Poor design all around for the freezer.

We were in need of a new refrigerator

I researched for a new refrigerator and decided on purchasing a new
GE - GNE21FSFSS. It has two doors above and a pull out freezer below. We have a small house so the 30 width of the refrigerator I needed limited somewhat my choices. I am very pleased with with my choice. I like the storage space, the way it looks in the kitchen, the space inside for food storage both in the freezer and behind the two upper doors. Another thing I like is how quite it is when operating. If you are considering a 30 inch refrigerator have a look at the GE product line.

Love the LED lighting and the digital display.

Very energy efficient. Our first month's light bill after the purchase showed quite a drop. We really like the interior lighting and the digital temperature display. We left it on the factory default setting of 37 deg.and the interior stays around 35 deg. around the clock. The factory setting on the freezer is also just right. After the first 24 hours of operation and the interior stabilized, we hardly ever hear it running and when it does, it's very quiet. The only gripe I have is that the stainless exterior shows fingerprints but that's the nature of S.S. appliances and I knew that going in.
