Great Refridgerator

I've only had this fridge a few days, but am more than impressed with functionality, and space it provides. So glad that we went with the slate. We will be purchasing the remaining appliances(range, dishwasher, and microwave) to complete the ensemble.

Perfect size and great organization

This is the perfect size fridge for our apartment and offers great organizational space. I love having the ice/water dispenser on the outside of the door. Many brands do not offer this option on smaller capacity fridges and I'm glad we could purchase this model because of that.

Hate, Hate, Hate the ice dispenser

The refrigerator is okay, however the ice dispenser is awful, if there is a stronger word for hate, that is how I feel about the dispenser. Almost every time ice comes out it falls to the floor, sometimes several pieces, if I want to put in a glass without some going on floor I have to get a wide brimmed bowl or wide cup so the ice does not fall out then transfer to the glass, Very inconvenient to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Value for the Price

We needed to replace our refrigerator and wanted a French door style. We were limited because of space. (I like to remove drawers for cleaning but couldn't open one door enough on our old side-by-side.) This 33" French door is a perfect fit. I have room to open the doors and like the bottom freezer. We are having to adjust to less space, but we intentionally went with a smaller unit.
I went with the GE appliance for 2 reasons: 1) the reputation of the products including good reviews and 2) SLATE! I love the slate. I am not a fan of stainless and like the black stainless even less. GE is the only manufacturer offering slate. I don't have to worry about fingerprints either.
I love this refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!
