Perfect for our needs

We were in need of a new refrigerator and had looked at numerous models before finding this GE model. Our previous refrigerator was bigger and but didn't fit the space in our kitchen very so we decided to go with smaller cubic foot model expecting we would give up a bit of space for something that would fit our kitchen better. We were pleasantly surprised that this model while it is indeed smaller than our previous refrigerator has plenty of space for all or needs without crowding it. It's stylish and efficient and fits perfectly in an older kitchen that wasn't really built to accommodate the newer 36" models. We've only owned it for a month but love our new GE refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this fridge. only issue i could come up with is that you cannot read the names on the buttons of the front panel. eventually you would learn them. there is a button light but they all look the same, could have been illuminated names for night time access

the water/crushed ice/ice words Light up.

The words don’t light up ever in the daylight it’s hard to see what function your going to get . The panel is gray and words a gray very hard to see! Not happy with the GE refrigerator!

We Love GE and GE Profile appliance products. They still own their own company so they need to stand by all their products. I feel for that reason they make more quality products

Cabinet height doesn't fit under cabinet above

WARNING!!!!
The stated height of 69 7/8 extends 10 inches back from the front of the refrigerator. This is apparently a covering for electronics that prevents the refrigerator from sliding all of the way into the 69' tall opening and PREVEENTS THE CUPBOARD DOORS FROM OPENING. I can find nothing about this in the specs. Maybe in CAD drawings that are in an obscure file format that I can't download.
How do you resolve this in a new custom kitchen????

However, the installation instructions for this unit list the minimum clearances you need for this unit including from the top of the door hinge cover, which is 1 inch from the 69 7/8 inch height of the front of the unit. So the cabinet opening height required for this unit would need to be at least 70 7/8 inches tall for proper installation.
This clearance is also required for the correct air circulation for the refrigerator to maintain performance.
