A good refrigerator with a one big flaw...

We purchased the refrigerator when we remodeled our kitchen. What drew us to it was the slate color and finish. It functions well and has plenty of room, but the ice maker is much too small. The ice reservoir will barely hold enough ice to meet the needs of our 6 person family for a meal. This needs to be remedied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Lighting

I just bought this refrigerator after my four year old GE french door refrigerator's ice maker broke and froze shut my freezer drawer where the ice maker was located. I had to wait 6 days for the freezer drawer to defrost all the while I need to continue to mop by kitchen floor so that wouldn't be ruined. Call me crazy, but I bought another GE refrigerator, but this time the ice maker is in the side door panel, so if it malfunctions, at least we can take the door off and not have to wait for the whole drawer to de-ice. I think a refrigerator should last longer than 4 years at the price I pay for it!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very hard to Touch handle always wiping finger prints off. Have a micro cloth on the door handle.

3 days after it was delivered we had to call for service it had a bad electrical cord and the front face plate over the control panel was falling off

This is the perfect size for our tiny little kitchen, but I do miss the freezer on the left and fridge on the right type. Will go back to that in our next house.
