Clunky LOUD Unrefined Beast

I bought this refrigerator to match other slate appliances that I bought. The space I have for a refrigerator would allow a 33" max unit. That resulted in a choice between this unit and a side-by-side. It replaced an older, basic, traditional style refrigerator with freezer on the top. I really hate this new clunky and unrefined refrigerator and wish my old one actually kept the frozen foods cold. Reasons that I dislike this unit as follows:
-doors and freezer drawer are hard to open.
-doors and freezer drawer have to be completely and intentionally closed otherwise they stay open. There is no being lazy and just flipping the doors closed like my old refrigerator.
-ice maker filling is LOUD.
-compressor is LOUD (much louder than even my old funky cheap fridge).
-bottom drawer in refrigerator requires both doors to be open to access the drawer.
-drawers in refrigerator are LOUD. Opening the refrigerator and freezer is LOUD. Everything about this refrigerator is LOUD. No sneaking a midnight snack with this one!
-shelves on ice maker side are pretty much useless.
-access to anything on the left side of the fridge requires both doors to be open because the ice maker takes up so much space you can't fit your arms past it with the right door closed.
-ice melts into a uni-blob and doesn't come out.
-there is absolutely nothing I like about the freezer being on the bottom. It is a horrible arrangement that is high maintenance and food gets lost under other food, seemingly never to be seen again. Did I mention this freezer drawer is LOUD? So loud, in fact, several times I thought I had broken something in there!
-the top drawer in the freezer is completely cheesy and incredibly cumbersome. It also does not allow very good access to the food in the bottom basket.
-the bottom freezer basket comes with some bizarre vertical separator piece that just sits in there flopping around. I have no idea what this thing is or why it isn't attached in some way.
-the stainless handles get fingerprints if you even think about touching them (same with the range). That's why I didn't want stainless appliances. These handles should be coated with something. Have to clean the handles after every use.
-while I appreciate the protective film covering the slate parts during shipping/transport, the stuff doesn't come off the seams. All the seams have fuzzy plastic film edges. It looks bad.

I am a freezer on top kind of guy. I do NOT like these French door freezer on bottom units or side-by-side units that won't even fit a frozen pizza. The only slate freezer on top unit is really small. Manufacturers have abandoned the tried and true freezer on top format for trendy formats that make more $$$ for them.
There are some pros to this refrigerator. The slate color is nice and the refrigerator section lighting is nice. Yep, that's the best this clunky fridge has to offer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The handles were put on incorrectly--there is nothing in the owner's manual on how to remove them and reset them. There is nothing in the owner's manual on how to set the temperature controls

First French door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom! Such a nice upgrade from a side by side. So much room in the fridge and freezer and can see everything clearly. So beautiful and completes a remodel kitchen!!!

The water/ice did not work from day one. Now the temperature reading on the freezer and alarm are all wonky. Alarming intermittently with the numbers all over the place. It is 2 weeks old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
