This refrigerator replaced our previous GE French Door refrigerator that lasted 15 years. This new one is great. It's very quiet, and has lots of room. We like the in-door water and ice dispenser. The led lighting is excellent. Highly recommend this fridge.

Fantastic Refrigerator!

My new French Door, bottom freezer GE refrigerator is perfect for my kitchen. It's very roomy inside and well organized shelves and door storage. The recommended refrigerator and freezer temperatures are shown on the door by the water dispenser. That is a very handy feature!

GE French Door Refrigerestor is fantastic. The only down side is the water/icemaker, We would've much preferred 3 handles (one for water, one for crushed ice and one for cubed ice.

Very slow ice cube maker

I had this refrigerator for about 3 months. The first week it froze everything in the vegetable drawers. The repair man came a couple weeks later and installed new duct vent and ice maker. Still messed up so I scheduled another service call new company came and found the first service guy installed the duct vent wrong and replaced it. Finally that vegetable freezing issue was fixed. As far as the ice maker it doesn’t make enough ice to keep a family of 3 supplied. So now I go buy a bag of ice and put it in the freezer drawer. This make our refrigerator just like the model that doesn’t have the ice/water dispenser in the door. Which by the way goes on sale for $1200 cheaper. I invested in the the more expensive model because my son has a disability and can’t bend down to get ice.
If I had my way I’d return this model and get something different. As far as the shelves the tallest thing that fits is a 16 oz soda bottle except for the small area with the sliding shelf.

So far, so good with the refrigerator. We bought this because our other one just died after opening up for just 10 years and that was not a GE appliance.
