Too noisy

The refrigerator is loud when it is making ice. The cycle takes awhile and the motor is loud to listen to until the cycle is done.
Also, the panel on the ice maker is dark so you can't read the words of the feature buttons. There are lights on the panel, but they don't illuminate the words so they aren't helpful.

Hi - Thank you so much for sharing your concerns regarding your beautiful GE refrigerator. We are deeply sorry to learn you are not pleased with some of the operational and design aspects of your unit and apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
Your icemaker doesn't actually make noise when making ice. Initially, you may hear a slight buzz that lasts for approximately 8 seconds when the ice mold fills with water. After that, the icemaker itself doesn't make any sound until the cubes are ejected from the mold about 70 minutes or so later. If you use the dispenser to dispense ice or water, you will hear specific sounds as long as the dispenser paddle/cradle is activated.
You may actually be hearing the compressor and fans running which help create and circulate the cold air for both the fresh food and freezer compartments. Great refrigerator

Really like our new fridge. Ample room and movable shelves. I like the long drawer to keep lunch meat and cheeses. Doesn't show fingerprints on stainless steel outside. Only con is the ice dispenser- ice falls out onto floor unless you hold the glass all the way up to the slot where it comes out.

So far I am pleased with my new fridge. The only thing I found was that after dispensing water there is a drip on the spout. Also cube are not always easily dispensed. I may have to go inside to free some up.

Great refrigerator

We have had this refrigerator for 5 months now and love it. It seems to fit a lot more food than our old one which was the same size. It looks nice, works well & we have had no problems with it so are very happy.
