Good fridge

I love lay out of the fridge. I was aggravated When one of the door holders inside cracked and broke.. after just a few months...I have been extra careful not to overload them. For the price I paid, I feel the plastic should be stronger.

Cheap Flimsy Handles

When my new refrigerator was installed one of the plastic brackets that is supposed to hold the door handle on had one pin broken. Today when I tried to open the door, the second one broke. The handles just slide over these brackets and are not held in place with any kind of set screw, a massive design flaw causing the handles to come off frequently during normal use. Between that and a couple of other poor design elements for its price range lead me to highly recommend you NOT buy this product. I did a lot of research before I bought this model. It was only one of two that fit my opening, and I bought the GE model to support American manufacturing. So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ice dispensor

the ice dispensor shoots ice everywhere - we need to cup our hands aroond most glasses to keep the ice inside the glass

The ice may spray more and come out of the dispenser incorrectly if the freezer temperature is too cold - the ice is more brittle in that case, and flies apart faster while being crushed. If this is the issue, adjusting the freezer temperature to be a bit warmer may solve it. We do also recommend holding the glass about an inch away from the dispenser chute, and that the glass have at least a 3-4" opening, to avoid ice spraying elsewhere.
If you continue to have the issue after trying the above steps, you may want to consider a service appointment. That department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737 M – F 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and on weekends from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET.
