Love the fridge, but

I really do like this because we did a lot of research and decided on this unit. We needed a 33-inch unit that had a ice maker and water dispenser in the door. We read horror stories about the compressors on Samsung and LG so we decided on the GE unit and I'm not sorry we got it. I love the way it works, the way it looks, the lighting, almost everything about it. We originally bought it last July and it was delivered in September. By October it had died twice they took it out and give us a loaner. We finally got a new one in May. Hopefully this is a one-off. The ice dispenser and water works great. It looks like it's made well and I think this one will last a long time by the way it was designed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waited 9 months to get the features in this 33 inch wide refrig/freezer, like bottom freezer and water on door. The freezer is massive compared to top freezer models, which makes the refrigerator slightly smaller.. It doesn't seem to have slide-out shelves, which is a minor inconvenience since one of the shelves is small in height. Door storage is limited due to Icemaker on one door. This is overall more useful than a side by side or top freezer, so I believe we made the right choice. The only other issue is that the water-crushed-cubed ice buttons aren't lit and are hard to see, but we will learn to select based on position

Love our new GE refrigerator. If only we didn’t have to open both doors to get to items in the deli drawer. Wish deli drawer was split like the crisper drawers? I think it would be so much more energy efficient then.

Nice looking fridge

Love the slate! It’s a little noisy. When closing freezer you have to push directly in the middle or doesn’t close smoothly. Top shelves seem like the could be a little sturdier, since that’s where the heavy stuff goes. But do like the fridge.
