Far from the best

I can not recommend this refrigerator. It looks nice, and so far keeps my food cold, but that's about where the positives end.
First, it's loud. For every review that says it's noisy, they're not lying. It never stops making noise. There's a fan that runs constantly to pump cold air to the ice maker, and that's all you can hear throughout the house. There's another high pitched noise that the fridge periodically makes that's equally annoying.
Second, the shelving layout is awful. If you want to store milk, or any other equally high container, and you'll have to remove an entire shelve. Sure you can move it up, but that won't leave any room to actually put anything on it. There's a shelf that can convert to a half shelf, but you can only use it on one side. The shelves aren't interchangeable from left to right.
The trays for the storage for the door with the ice maker are small, but that's minor compared to the rest of the complaints.
This is a pretty expensive fridge for the issues. It might last forever since I don't like it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great refrigerator

We purchased all new GE appliances for our home as we did a major renovation. I am so pleased with this refrigerator, especially the ice maker! Our last refrigerator's ice maker had to be rebuilt (at 4 years old) and it never was good. This one makes and dispenses beautiful ice cubes! All same size, not broken and dispenses quickly too. I love how it will stop making ice if bin is filled. Our last refrigerator would keep making ice and it would turn into one large block of ice! So glad I chose GE for all my new appliances. They are pretty and easy to clean.

Nice Frig!

I haven't had the frig long but I love it. GREAT space inside. This is my first bottom freezer so that takes adjusting - space is less than I had before. My only complaint is that the water spigot drips a few drops right after using it and the ice cubes seem to melt some so that they clog up the shoot. I also wish the water came out a bit faster and sometimes it seems rather warm, otherwise it's chilled. Can't figure out why it varies.

This model is too noisy, would not buy it again. Also in the manual it has a whole page stating all the different noises it make.

Love the French Doors!
